After having lived in Clapton (London), I moved to Ginneken (Breda). These two places couldn’t be any more different from each other. Ginneken is a white, posh neighborhood and Clapton a very multicultural up and coming neighborhood. Because of that Ginneken seemed a lot more narrow minded then Clapton. I think all the PVV (extreme right political party founded by Geert Wilders) stickers around my area confirmed this. I decided to address the person that distributed these stickers by adding my own stickers to the lampposts and what not. Anywhere I could find a place that didn’t have a Dutch origin, I’d point this place out to the people of the area. Opposite the Kebab shop: “Your dinner is Moroccan”, opposite the liquor shop: “Your wine is Spanish” etc.
